Interesting facts about electrical testing technology

REO power supplies and free from electro-magnetic interference and comply with the valid EC Guidelines (EN 61558-2-14 and the older VDE Standard 0552). REO test devices are used in test facilities, development laboratories, institutes, schools and universities as well as in industry and in all mobile stations. A clean and sinusoidal current is essential for the reproducibility of the tests. Among other products, REO provides AC and DC power supplies, high-voltage power feeders and three-phase supply units that are designed for voltages up to 15 kV and currents up to 30 KA.

Ohmic load units are used if power supplies or other test objects such as switches, contacts or transformers must be loaded with an active load. Ohmic load units find their usage in development laboratories and test facilities, test institutes, schools and universities.

REO load units are designed for continuous operation, possess a high level of long-term stability and are optimised for every current and every load duration. The resistance value and the measurement of power are laid out especially in accordance with the customer’s specifications.

A variable transformer is used if it is essential that output voltages are adjusted with a constant sinusoidal wave form. The REO variable transformers create no interference or harmonics and are therefore particularly suited for use in test facilities or research institutes, where high frequency interference could falsify the results.

Voltage stabilisers are used as ballasts in single-phase and three-phase networks with fluctuating voltages to regulate these mains voltage fluctuations. Therefore, the consumer who is connected receives a constant voltage which results in a constant level of machine performance that is then independent from the fluctuating mains network.

Inductive loads

Inductive loads are usually specially designed for an application and with reference to the applicable norms. These standards detail the tests required but also the test setups and procedures. The inductances are specially adapted to the area of application so an optimal solution may be provided.

AC-Power supplies

Continuously adjustable output voltage for your laboratory applications
The REOLINE Plus AC products are single-phase alternating current supply devices with analogue or digital displays. The devices have a continuously adjustable output voltage and are perfect for use in the laboratory due to their portable housing units.

DC-Power supplies

Continuously adjustable output voltage for your laboratory applications

The REOLINE Plus DC products are single-phase direct current power supply devices with analogue or digital displays. The devices have a continuously adjustable output voltage and are perfect for use in the laboratory due to their portable housing units. All devices comply with the IEC/EN 61558-2-13 and IEC/EN 61010-1 standards.

A variable transformer is used if it is essential that output voltages are adjusted with a constant sinusoidal wave form.

The REO variable transformers create no interference or harmonics and are therefore particularly suited for use in test facilities or research institutes, where high frequency interference could falsify the results.

Voltage Stabiliser

Voltage stabilisers are used as ballasts in single-phase and three-phase networks with fluctuating voltages to regulate these mains voltage fluctuations.

Therefore, the consumer who is connected receives a constant voltage which results in a constant level of machine performance that is then independent from the fluctuating mains network.

Laboratory device

Simple to operate table-top devices for adjustable output frequencies and output voltages.
REO laboratory devices from the Platypus or REOLINE series enable the setting of output frequencies and output voltages with a simple handle.
The laboratory devices are available as table-top devices or in 19” housing for rack installation.
